add gmail alias to iphone

Hi, I created a gmail account to serve as an alias for a small business email. It's working on my desktop, but I can't get it to work on my iPhone. That is, I can use the gmail address, but can't compose an email that appears to be from my small business. I'm thinking this is IMAP related and I just don't know how to set it up. Any ideas?

Hi graphicsherri,

We see you referenced the most relevant article, Add an email account to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

It sounds like you have your Gmail account on your iPhone, but you want to send it from your alias. You can create a new email, and select the From field to see your accounts there. Do you see the alias there?

Send an email from a different account
If you have more than one email account, you can specify which account to send email from.
1. In your email draft, tap the Cc/Bcc, From field.
2. Tap the From field, then choose an account.

Take care.
