Handoff not working anymore after update to Ventura 13.3

I find it ridiculous to have devices running iOS 17.0.3 and Ventura 13.5.1 and being unable to do handoff or even AirDrop between my devices. There is likely a setting that is not configured correctly, maybe by default, because I have not changed them. Anyone had actual luck identifying or solving? Apple is not being very helpful here.

Last week, I successfully resolved a hand-off issue that had ceased working for me three months ago by signing out of my Apple ID on macOS and then signing back in. I am currently utilizing macOS 12.7.2 on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) and an iPhone X running iOS 16.7.4. Unfortunately, the hand-off functionality broke again for me after the 16.7.4 iOS update yesterday.

i can copy/paste from phone to mac, but when i do from mac to phone, the phone paste pop-up menu hangs then dissapears and nothing happens like i would have dismissed it. then i reboot the phone, wait a few minutes after unlock, then paste works again

Logging into FaceTime to fix handoff?? Sounded unlikely...but tried it and it instantly fixed the problem and now indeed Handoff works as expected. Did nothing else besides log into FaceTime on Mac. Weird -but nice- find! Thanks!

yeah, same for me but i have to reboot every time handoff stop working. it happens a lot btw.

Copy from devices don’t work.

Handoff doesn’t work.

Sidecar doesn’t work.

Unlocking via watch doesn’t work.

1. Sign out of iCloud and sign back in: Go to System Preferences > Apple ID and sign out of iCloud. Then sign back in and check if the Handoff feature is working.

Isn’t it great to be Guinea pigs for these updates .. I always thought they were supposed to improve the experience with the products along with security??

I did steps 1 to 3 on my MacBook Pro (M1 Pro) and Handoff AND Universal Control work again (both was broken since updated to 13.3)!

Logging off from Apple ID will remove all cards. 😒

For some reason they will not let send a link from their own Apple News .. but those who have it, go to iMore channel “Apple Updates are breaking things “.

Same for me. Restarting and turning bluetooth on/off usually fixes it for a few hours but then it stops again. Really annoying. I use it quite a bit.
