Verification Failed
I have a Macbook, Apple ID and can access iCloud. However iCloud Drive won't load and when i Try Again I have to enter my reds and I continually get "Verification Failed"

You can’t merge multiple Apple ID accounts.
What happens when you use the same Apple ID & Password that you use to sign in here?

Been there. Done that. No luck. Also, from preferences I can neither access iCloud nor set up Internet Connections. So, cannot set up email, either Google or iCloud.
Running El Capitan 10.11.6
