How to run an accessibility check on Keynote presentation deck?

How can I check the accessibility of the Keynote presentation deck that I developed? Is there any accessibility checker that I can run to review the presentation deck for accessibility?

Hello Sean_Gerlis,

So, it sounds like you want to make sure that you have an accessibility check in your presentations. Apple doesn't have a tool like you have mentioned. You may leave feedback here: Product Feedback - Apple

You can, however, export your Keynote to PowerPoint, and check the accessibility there. Export from Pages, Numbers, or Keynote to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, and more - Apple Support (CA)

Cheers.

Hi there Sean_Gerlis,

To check accessibility descriptions in a Keynote presentation, follow this information from Create accessible documents, spreadsheets, or presentations with Pages, Numbers, or Keynote (that you've already looked over):

Add accessibility descriptions to media
You can add descriptions to objects in your document so people using assistive technology can better understand your document:
* Images
* Movies
* Audio
* Drawings*
* Image Galleries
For examples of accessibility descriptions, placeholder images in templates and themes include an accessibility description.
* You can add descriptions to drawings in Pages and Numbers.

Add descriptions on iPhone or iPad
1. In the document, tap the object to select it, tap the Format button , then tap Image, Movie, Audio, Drawing, or Gallery.
2. Tap Description, tap in the text box, then enter your description.

Add descriptions on Mac
1. In the document, click the object to select it, click the Format button  in the toolbar, then click Image, Movie, Audio, Drawing, or Gallery in the inspector.
2. Click in the Description text box, then enter your description.

If you are trying to accomplish something else, please provide more specifics so that we can continue to assist.

Cheers!

Hello Ben_Z1,

Thank you. I am interested in the accessibility checker tool to verify anything I missed on my presentation deck. I added visual descriptions to hundreds of slides in Keynote. Still, I need something to review them and confirm that I did not miss anything for an accessible screen reader for people with visual disabilities.

Is there any "accessibility checker tool" available in Keynote?

Did Apple develop something like this? Similar to Microsoft's Accessibility Checker tool.
