Do high powered lasers burn through your screen?

So I put a laser (blue) sort of high powered( high powered enough to burn through paper and eyes ) so I put it on my camera to take a selfy and it didn’t burn my screen protector but it left a yellow and black glowing spot on my screen like it went under my screen protector and burnt my screen. Explanations??
