Wifi superslow on mbp M1 Pro vs fast on iphone/mbp air on the same wifi
Hello fellow forum members,
I'm encountering a rather frustrating issue with my MacBook Pro, and I was hoping someone here might be able to help me out. My MacBook Pro M1 Pro 14'' (Ventura 13.3) has been experiencing a very slow internet connection lately. I'm pretty sure this issue is not caused by my internet provider or router, as my other devices, such as my MacBook Air and iPhone, have a fast connection and low pings under the same Wi-Fi network.
Webpages can take up to 5-6 seconds to load.
When I create a new user profile on the same machine, the internet speed and response time return to normal, but this isn't a great long-term solution, as I lose all of my installed programs and preferences. This leads me to believe that the problem may be caused by something installed on my computer.
I've already tried changing the Wi-Fi channel, updating DNS settings, removing VPNs, and forgetting and reconnecting to the Wi-Fi network, but none of these steps have resolved the issue.
I'd like to find a solution that doesn't involve wiping my system completely. Any suggestions or ideas on how I can identify and fix the root cause of this problem without losing all of my data and settings?
Thank you in advance for your help! I'm eager to get this issue sorted out and return to normal browsing speeds on my machine!
