My email account has been hacked and I use it as an Apple ID

I believe my email account has been hacked and I use it as Apple ID. I have opened up an I cloud email and was going to use it as my apple id but I will not let me change it? Why?

If you created an iCloud email recently then it will not let you change it. As iCloud EMail must be at least 30 Days Old in order to change to an apple ID. However, you can create new apple ID as iCloud.

If you can't change your Apple ID

If you try to change your Apple ID to an @icloud.com email address that was created within the last 30 days, you will be asked to try again later.

No, if you haven't jailbroken your iPhone, it's not possible.

  • Create a strong password for your Apple ID, It is best if your password consists of eight or more characters and include upper and lowercase letters, and at least one number. You can also add extra characters and punctuation marks to make your password even stronger.
  • Never provide your password, passcode, security questions, verification codes, recovery key or any other account security details to anyone else. Apple will never ask you for this information.
