2020 macbook pro sluggish

My 2020 MacBook pro is sluggish. Programs are slow to load. When I type an email, it takes a beat before the letters appear. Wondering what program I can run to check out the computer and see if there is a problem. Thank you.

iMac painfully slow I have an iMac with a 4.2 GHx Quad Core Intel i7 processor and 32 GB of memory. 256Gb of 3.12 TB used. Mac OS and all apps up todate. Recently it has become painfully slow, especially when running MS applications (Outlook, Teams, Word..) but also browsers and mac apps. It keeps saying "non responsive application" for about 10 seconds before it allows you to continue. Typing a simple email takes ages as it keeps "thinking" after every three words. Also loosing connection to bluetooth mouse every 20 minutes (again for 10 seconds at a time). Running CleanMyMac has no impact, as also restarting it. Had the same problem 18 months ago. The only thing that helped was resetting the whole machine and reinstalling all apps. Would be great if it can be avoided. Any ideas?

macbook pro 2016 running very slow When I run mail and software like trading view, the computer runs very very slow. Mine is MacBook Pro 2016 with 500GB hard drive and 8 GB memory. I also attach the Etracheck report

Hi,

Try to run Apple diagnostics if it reports hardware related error.

Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac - Apple Support

If it doesn't help, start up in Safe mode, then normal boot could solve your issue.
