FCPX Exporting Project to Compressor - Optical Flow replaced by Frame Blending

I have exactly the same problem as in FCPX Exporting Project to Compressor - Op… - Apple Community

Strangely enough,, if I use File -> Share -> Apple Devices 4k -> HEVC 10bit, the files look just fine.

am I missing something when exporting via compressor?

Final Cut Pro X 10.6.9 on Sonoma exporting pixelated videos in H264 I just ran into this issue recently. But whenever I export my 4K project to master file or an "Apple Devices" file in H.264, a few of the same frames are pixelated every time. Only works in Apple ProRes, but then the files are huge. They aren't pixelated in the Final Cut project, only in the export. I have updated all of the adjustment layers I am using. There are no plugins on the clip, just color graded simply in FCPX. It isn't on all of the clips, just a few of the same ones every time. Filmed on an R5. I have updated my computers, updated FCPX and even tried copy and pasting the content from this project into another one to export from there. Same frames are pixelated every time. It works if I export an "Apple Devices" 10-bit 4K file. Just not H264. This seems to be an internal FCPX issue, as I have no other plugins besides a recently updated and downloaded adjustment layer in the project and simple color wheels added per clip.

FCPX Exporting Project to Compressor - Optical Flow replaced by Frame Blending My Final Cut Pro project of a single clip slowed to 50% using Optical Flow rendering is being exported by Compressor using Frame Blending to render the new frames. The same project exported from Final Cut Pro correctly uses Optical Flow rendering. Is there some sort of override of this setting inside Compressor? Setup: MacBook Pro, 16-inch 2021 Apple M1 Max 32 GB, Ventura 13.0.1 Final Cut Pro v10.6.3 Compressor v4.6.3 Steps: Create a new Final Cut Pro project. Load a clip into the project, select Custom size & frame rate to match the clip (5120x3840, 30p). The clip is a previously Compressor exported file: Uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2 Slow the clip in half: Modify -> Retime -> 50% Set Optical Flow frame interpolation: Modify -> Retime -> Video Quality -> Optical Flow Highlight the Project Name Export the project using FCPX: File -> Share -> Export File (default) Export the same project using Compressor: File -> Send to Compressor -> New Batch; using Uncompressed 10-bit 422. Note that Compressor's frame-by-frame preview window foretells that the video will be using Frame Blending. The Final Cut Pro exported file correctly uses Optical Flow. The Compressor output file renders with Frame Blending.

It's possible that there's a setting in Compressor that's causing the issue. Try checking the frame rate settings and make sure Optical Flow is selected. If that doesn't work, try exporting the project as a Master File and then use Compressor to encode the video.
