Dim spots on M1 macbook pro screen

Hi

Im seeing some dim spots on my M1 Macbook Pro screen.

Looks to be the same as drorpheus528 on

Grey/dark spots on MacBook Pro M1 14" Dis… - Apple Community

btw you can't even insert an image airdropped from an iphone into this forum without executing some kind of bespoke conversion (facepalm) (I used GIMP). And even then i get "The image is too large. The size should not exceed 5Mb. (Supported file types: GIF, JPG, PNG.)" - this is for a standard photo on an iphone 13. Tedious.

Has anyone got to the bottom of it. I'll be looking into applecare etc just want to know if there's a quick self-fix

Thanks

Ben
