vpn setup on Mac OS 13.3

Hi there

set up the vpn and its connecting disconnecting fine but the option to route traffic that should be in the settings (and was on setup) has disappeared. How do I know what traffic the vpn is seeing?

Thanks

Hi the ed tree,

Typically, all of your internet will route through the VPN while it is connected. For specific information regarding your VPN connection, you would get the best information by contacting the VPN provider. Here is some information about setting up a VPN on your Mac:

Just some food for thought: unless you're using a true VPN tunnel, such as between you and your employer's, school's or bank's servers, they provide false security from a privacy standpoint.  Read these two articles: Public VPN's are anything but private and Former Malware Distributor Kape Technologies Now Owns ExpressVPN, CyberGhost, Private Internet Access, Zenmate, and a Collection of VPN “Review” Websites

If you don't need it for an employer, bank or school it will just use up system resources and pose no real benefit to you.
