Connecting additional displays to an HDMI port can only produce the same image, or split one image into VERY grainy pieces onto multiple displays.


MacBook Pro notebook computer with built-in display can support up to two additional displays using ThunderBolt-2 and/or its HDMI port.


Mac Pro dark cylinder DESKTOP computer has no built-in display, but can support up to Six displays across its six Thunderbolt-2/Mini DisplayPort ports and one HDMI port, using adapters.
