iPhone 13: Camera is blurry when pulling out to 0.5X to get Wide Angle

Hi all, hope someone can help. When I pull and use the 0.5x setting to get the widest angle possible, everything goes slightly blurry. At first I thought my lens was smudged but it’s crystal clear, and there are no covers on it to diffuse the lens. No surface scratches or anything in the lens either. I’ve tried various things in the Camera “settings” but nothing fixes it. Is this a common problem or is my phone busted? It’s only about 7 months old. Thanks in advance for your answers.
