The ultra wide angle camera/lens is not designed to do flat field copy work. Just like I a screwdriver isn’t designed to pound nails.

Yes, you can place your camera close to an object and the camera will take a photo, if there is enough contrast in the subject where you’re focusing. What you’re doing is not a sharpness test. You’re taking photos that the camera was not designed for or optimized for. If you want to test sharpness, go outside, in daylight and take some normal photos. If those are blurry, you’ve got an issue. But from what I can see your camera is behaving normally, given your testing conditions and subjects.

Just so you don’t think I don’t have a clue I taught photography at MSU for 5 years, have a degree in optical engineering and have been involved in various forms of photography and videography on and off for 40+ years.

Typically you might just do screenshot if you need a copy of an iPhone or iPad screen. The scanner function is used for flat documents, such as a letter, or closeups of text. The camera is used for 3 dimensional real world scenes with objects at different distances from the camera.

A screenshot is produced by pressing the Side button (power button) and up volume button at the same time.

A high quality scan is larger than the community forums permit. My scan was 10 MB and maximum I can share is 5 MB.

Im confused too on why you’re trying to scan a screen. Do a screenshot like an explained above. The scanner function is for flat documents like a letter. If you want a picture of your screen, take a screenshot. If you want a macro photo, go outside and take a photo of a flower or a butterfly or something closeup. Pick the right tool for the job.
