Replacing AirTag battery

I've got the AirTag open and the new battery in but it doesn't want to snap closed.

It doesn’t “snap” at all.

Rather, “GENTLE” is the operative word.

Once the replacement battery is in, align the cover’s locking tabs with the slots in the body; then gently press and rotate the cover CW just a bit to “latch.”

It’s takes a bit of a practice to get it to rotate w/o squeezing too hard. Using two fingers at opposite edges of the cover often works better for most individuals.
