Apple Watch Not Connecting to Fitness + App on Apple TV HD (32 GB) Model:A1625.

The Fitness App on the Apple TV needs to connect to wifi through the iPhone paired to the Apple Watch, even if the Apple TV has wifi access. I upgraded my iPhone and the wifi connection was connected but not working. This caused the Apple Watch to not be able to connect to the Apple TV fitness app.

Reset the router to get the wifi connection working again.

I have had this issue several times.

I end up having to delete my paired devices removed from applets and then connect again. This seems to help. So, PLEASE fix the issue in your software.

In your Apple TV disconnect the device that’s not working. Ie you’re Apple Watch. Then reconnect.

Unfortunately nothing worked for me.

Restored factory settings on Apple TV, removed all accounts, removed all devices. Still fitness app does not recognize my apple watch. All this happened after recent updates of all apple software 😭😭😭😭😭😭

It let me mirror the app to the tv and after that, when I connected to my Apple TV from the fitness app, it game me a different prompt to connect. Instead of a drop down from the top of my phone screen, it gave me a bubble prompt medium size in the middle of the screen which launched the app. Trying to connecting my watch still says I need to be connected to WiFi, which I am. So the rings won’t show up. The Apple TV app is working though.

It’s maddening to get ready to work out and nothing works. I did press connect on the Apple Watch then a message appears on Apple TV saying the paring was canceled. You almost have to include another 30-45 min into your work out routine just to troubleshoot crap. By this time I’m stressed because I have a time limit and I have to freaking search for solutions as to why my watch and apple fitness are not syncing. Then all the suggestions require another search, “delete all the profiles from the Apple TV.” “Delete this delete that.” Why not work? It’s a smart TV smart phone smart watch, but dumb as snot when you need it to sync. Bluetooth is connected, it sees my watch, it connected the other day, but today is a different day. It even connects! But then stops paring. Why?! This use to be more flawless than what it is now. I don’t need stock solutions, it just needs to work as it’s advertised in all the fancy advertisements to sell the “best” smart products on the market.

Sorry for my rant. I finally got my Apple Watch connected. My husband and I struggled for a good bit. All devices are running the newest iOS so I am not sure why it was such a hassle. I’ve been using apple fitness and Apple Watch for a while and never had issues with it connecting. I have had issues where the apple fitness app crashes during the workout, I restart the fitness all over again, and the work out I was doing never shows a check mark that I completed it. So it’s definitely buggy.

I am having the same issue. I am trying to mirror my fitness + workouts on my tv and it connects to the Roku, but when I try to play the video it says it’s “unavailable.” However I am able to play it from my phone. I had no trouble doing this before the IOS 17 update. It’s super hard trying to workout watching on my phone! 🫤

It’s really boring. Because I often have problem with connecting Apple Watch with Apple TV. And I do have multiple generation and not the same house.

Sometimes it work well. And sometimes it crash on the middle of the exercice….

on iPad and iPhone. No problem at all.

Thousand attempts and I fixed mine.

• after signing up apple one premier, takes 30 minutes. Other needs:
• Switch user on power
• new user: Joe Z’s Apple Watch (family of phones appear too)
• alternative: settings and reset, update and reset, new TV and/or new Watch

This right here is the solution.

This solved the problem indeed. Hopefully this get solved in a future software update.

Check the version of Apple Watch you have in your software. If it isn’t a 7.2 or 16.1 or later then it’s now incompatible with the app and tv.
