Focus across devices

I'm finding that when I turn on DND Focus on my laptop, it turns it on for my phone too (but only after 30 minutes or more). The laptop has "Share across devices" unchecked. The phone has it checked but I don't understand how the action on the laptop that isn't shared could somehow affect the phone.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Hi Peter Roussak,

Thanks for posting here in Apple Support Communities. "When you're signed in with the same Apple ID on your devices, any any changes you make to Focus are reflected on your other devices, and turning a Focus on or off on one device turns it on or off on your other devices." You can see more about this in the following article: Set up a Focus on Mac - Apple Support

Keep Focus settings up to date across your Apple devices
1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Focus  in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
2. Turn “Share across devices” on or off on the right. (The option is on by default.)

Kind regards.
