pair bluetooth with car

I just replaced my iPhone 8 with a 14. The new phone won't recognize the Bluetooth in my car, though it is picking up devices the old phone never registered, like my neighbor's TV. The car is an older Mazda and doesn't have CarPlay or a USB port, just regular Bluetooth. Suggestions?

Make sure you delete your old iPhone from your car (if necessary,)

& delete your car from your new phone, & start fresh.

That's a common solution.

from Mazda:

"Make sure that Bluetooth and Find Mode are turned on in the Bluetooth device's settings. Additionally, make sure that Airplane mode is turned off. Turn off the Bluetooth device's power once and then turn it back on. If pairing is still not possible after this, contact an Authorized Mazda Dealer."

it could be that your car is too old to connect to new Bluetooth (maybe)
