Apple Maps keeps saying “Call Ended” after every direction instruction

Every iPhone I have ever had (now iPhone 12 mini iOS 16.4) does this while working with uconnect in our 2017 dodge.

The playback for “call ended” comes through at the set volume for the iPhone which is often set loud to hear the phone ringing or text notifications when out of the vehicle.

There is also a 10-second delay after the “call ended” message which continues to mute the music on the radio. 🥴

This is most annoying when using maps for an extended period!

I do want to leave Bluetooth on so I can have Siri make calls or send texts.

ideas?

You likely have a USB port somewhere in the vehicle. You should be able to connect using that.

It sounds like you're connected to your phone through bluetooth. If you have a wired connection you would likely not experience the same "call ended." This happens in my dad's Chevy and has happened to me in a variety of rental cars; likely because maps is accessing cellular data.
