iPhone 14 Pro Max Laggy on Low Power Mode

Whenever I turn on low power mode, my iPhone starts lagging. Whenever I turn low power mode off, everything goes back to normal. My phone is completely up to date and I haven't changed any settings recently. Is anyone else experiencing this and is there a way to fix it?

iPhone 14 Pro Max, iOS 16

Hi dm_carroll,

We'd love to help out. What you are experiencing is likely expected behavior. When Low Power Mode is enabled, it reduces consumption to prolong battery life. Please see the information we've provided below for details.

When Low Power Mode is on, your iPhone or iPad will last longer before you need to charge it, but some features might take longer to update or complete. Also, some tasks might not work until you turn off Low Power Mode, or until you charge your iPhone or iPad to 80% or higher.

Low Power Mode reduces or affects these features:

* 5G (except for video streaming) on iPhone 12 models
* Auto-Lock (defaults to 30 seconds)
* Display brightness
* Display refresh rate (limited up to 60 Hz) on iPhone and iPad models with ProMotion display
* Some visual effects
* iCloud Photos (temporarily paused)
* Automatic downloads
* Email fetch
* Background app refresh

Cheers!
