Siri not working with AirPods. I have seen this question asked before, but have not found a working solution yet. I am getting no response when I say "Hey Siri" while wearing my AirPods. I can still talk to Siri if I hold down the side-button on the phone, so I know the microphone is still working. I have already tried resetting the AirPods, restarting the phone, and switching Siri off and on in settings. Device info: iPhone 15, iOS 18.5 - I think the AirPods are 2nd gen if I remember right.

"Hey Siri" won't work with Airpods 3 I've searched numerous articles online and double checked all the settings to no avail. The Apple website itself says the Airpods 3 work with the voice "Hey Siri" command, but this seems to be wrong. The only way I have been able to engage Siri is by pressing and holding the Airpod stem. I've tried updating the phone, restarting the phone, and turning "Hey Siri" off then on, recalibrating Siri... Can someone help me figure out how to get "Hey Siri" to work when I have my new Airpods 3 in?

If you're having trouble with Hey Siri not working as expected, the steps in here may help: If "Hey Siri" isn't working on your iPhone - Apple Support

If those don't seem to do the trick, could you confirm if it seems to work when you don't have your headphones connected?

That info will help narrow down what could be causing this.
