I connected my phone via USB to my computer, yet not all photos from my phone are showing.

Not all the photos on my phone are showing when I connect to my computer and open DCIM. How do I access all my photos? Similar to iPhone not showing all photos on Mac or PC - Apple Community

Solution:

For each of your albums in which there are missing photos, select all the photos in that album (or just the missing ones if you know which they are), press Share, press Save to Files, then it should say "Downloading". Once each file has been downloaded it will now show when it is connected to your computer under the DCIM then a Apple Date Folder.

Apple is rubbish, why must I use this workaround?
