Black bar stuck on left side of MacBook Air screen, no external damage, appeared out of nowhere

I was playing a game on my MacBook Air, then I closed my screen as I normally do. I didn't exit the game if this is important information, but I never had any problems occur previously when I did that. After I opened my screen again, it was a blueish black and no matter what buttons I pressed, the screen was stuck.

Eventually, after many attempts of trying to reset the NVRAM or PRAM, I was finally able to see a bit of my screen again. Some of the top of the screen was visible. Though the entire lower half of the screen was covered in horizontal lines and it was hardly manageable.

After what had to be my 10th or 20th time shutting the computer down and starting it back up either by trying to reset the SMC or run it in safe mode, the horizontal lines began disappearing. I thought everything was back to normal until a black bar with green and orange lines appeared on the left side of the screen, and no matter what I attempted, it hasn't gone away since.

I've tried resetting everything again, I've shut it down multiple times, I let my computer sleep for several hours, I updated it thinking that it would help. And the bar is still there. To make it worse, when I ran diagnostics, no issues were found.

On top of that, now when I shut the laptop down, a glitchy screen appears. I also don't see the black bar when I screenshot something, which is also confusing.

For more background, I've had my laptop for almost 3 years. It's a 2020 model. In this case, I didn't forcibly shut the screen down. I didn't drop it before things started going downhill. It doesn't have water damage. All of this just happened out of nowhere. And I don't want to lose all of my files and spend money I don't have by trying to get this fixed at a shop. I know this is long winded, but does anyone have any advice?
