Error 7005 is a common authentication error that occurs on an iPhone when attempting to erase all content and settings before trading it in or selling it. This error usually indicates that the device is still linked to an iCloud account, and the user attempting to erase the device doesn't have permission to do so.

To resolve this error, you need to make sure that your iPhone is no longer linked to your iCloud account. Here are the steps you can take:

  1. Go to the iCloud website on your computer and sign in with your Apple ID and password.
  2. Click on "Find My iPhone" and then select the iPhone you want to erase.
  3. Click on "Remove from Account" and enter your Apple ID and password again to confirm.
  4. Wait a few minutes for the changes to take effect.
  5. On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
  6. Enter your passcode if prompted and confirm that you want to erase the device.

If you still encounter the authentication error 7005 after following these steps, it's possible that there is an issue with your Apple ID

If you are not the owner and do not have the Apple ID and Password then there is no way that you can get into this iPhone unless the original owner shares the Apple ID and password with you. If you are lucky you can get into this iPhone if they (owner) accidentally remove the device from their Apple ID.
