Iphone home screen and app pages blurry with a search button that doesn't work. the blur/unblur button in the wallpaper settings makes no difference. updating the IOS made no difference (16.4) even the app buttons along the bottom are blurry. I can use the app library, but it's not the same as the phone working properly!

Let's start with trying to update to the latest version of iOS and see if this issue is resolved:
If you're able to get wallpapers behaving correctly after that, let us know.
If after updating you're still having trouble, try creating a new wallpaper:
Change the wallpaper on your iPhone
Let us know what's happened.
