Apple Books lost annotations

Hi -

I imported a PDF into Apple Books in order to annotate with my Apple Pencil. However, the app appears only to have saved the first section of my annotations (ca the first 50 pages) and has not retained those made on the rest of the document. I see from other posts that this is an issue other users have had, but could really do with retrieving the lost notes if possible. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I might achieve this?

Books on Apple Books are missing I download PDFs of books or articles online and I like reading them on Apple Books since I can highlight things and add annotations that are saved to both my laptop and phone. Today I tried opening a book and noticed that all of my books and PDFs were gone. I looked at the original downloaded PDFs in my files and all of the highlights and annotations are gone. I am doing research so this is very inconvenient, I cant just lose all that work. What happened and how can I get the highlights back?

Notes and highlights disappearing from the Books app I'm using books to read PDFs, highlight texts and make notes. Then, after making dozens of notes on marked texts, all the notes disappear like they were never there. Sometimes even the highlight marks disappear. Extremely frustrating to loose all the work and ideas!!! I never experienced such a bugged out system as the Apple's latest iOS. Anyone having similar experiences and how to make sure that Apple fixes this?
