I have added the Draw Mask to a clip and ensured the little pen icon in the Inspector is blue but my cursor simply remains as a cursor.
How do I turn it into a pen?
I had this problem a couple of years ago but can't remember the solution!

I trashed the preferences and guess what . . .
Is the Draw Mask selected like this?

It worked!
At least for one clip. I had to delete the preferences again to work on the second clip. It then failed again . . . but luckily I had no more clips requiring the mask.
Yes, there is a tick in the blue box and the pen icon is also blue.
Can't get Draw Mask pen to appear?
