I recently purchased a WD Easystore portable external drive as a backup for my MacBook Pro, version Ventura OS 13.2. My Mac Time Machine setup doesn't recognize the new drive. Error message: No available destination. Any suggestions?

Did you format the drive...(?)

GUID/APFS
