anyone else using After Effects with Final Cut Pro?

Just curious to know if anyone else is using After Effects with Final Cut Pro. I migrated from Premiere to Final Cut with the release of 10.3 and never looked back. What I love most about FCP is its filtering and organizational advantages in the browser, index, and timeline windows with keywords, the very powerful notes field and roles, etc. And the browser's film strip view mode is genius. It allows you to see the contents of any clip without having to play the clip. No other NLE I know of has that feature and beats Final Cut Pro in those aspects.

However, when it comes to animation After Effects is still king for me. I've tried Motion and I understand that (as opposed to AE) it works natively with FCP and has come a very long way. But as I use Illustrator (and Photoshop), AE allows me to animate those individual Illustrator layers. And it seems like there are still far more resources out there for AE vs Motion. The animation knowledge base also seems far more widespread for AE - as in the many youtube tutorials you can find such as those of Ben Marriott and many others. Not knocking Motion at all, but just curious whether anyone here on this platform is using AE with Final Cut Pro for the same reasons I am, even though they don't work natively together.
