I just installed a website block on my router (fritzbox). As I am using private relay I was expecting my safari browser to bypass any website blocking (like a vpn) but it doesn't bypass those websites. Is this to be expected or does it mean private relay isn't working correctly?
MacBook Air, macOS 13.3
For some reason different websites show different ip addresses:
https://nordvpn.com/ip-lookup/ shows my real location
https://whatismyipaddress.com/ shows another location
How is that possible?
On the iPhone it works: On firefox the websites are blocked, in safari they are bypassed. On my Macbook they are blocked on both.
Private relay is simply not working on Mac.
Is there anyone with the same problem? Does private relay on Mac bypass any website blocks of the router as private relay on iPhone does?
Maybe it's a VPN that's installed but not activated. Does anyone has the same issue that a vpn blockt private relay even when its not active?
