Changed Apple Id at Apple id.com but phone still using old id

I retired trying to change my apple id from my work email to my personal. At appleid.com it changed to new address but phone still using old

iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 16

You may need to restart the phone to get it to get it to take a fresh look as settings. Read about what to do after [or before] you change your Apple ID email address or password - What to do after you change your Apple ID or password - Apple Support
