Are the Beats earphones(headphones) with H1 chip support Automatic Switching? And if yes, what models?

Buying headphones for iPad, only the one device, do I need Apple W1? A head set like the Bowers & Wilkins PX doesn't have the Apple W1 app and people say that synching Bluetooth is problematic. So I was looking at the Beats 3 that does have it. All things considered the B&W set looks superior in other regards. Question is, if I only use the phones with one device and never need to switch to another, does that obviate the benefit of the Apple W1? In other words (since I know squat about all this tooth synching business), will I have to mess with the initial synch for any reason other than using another device? If that is the case, then I'm thinking the Apple W1 app won't be of sufficient benefit to me.
