My Apple ID was swapped with my wife's

I bought a phone for myself and registered it with my Apple ID. Then I gave my recently purchased phone to my wife after buying another one for myself (Apple.). I left my Apple ID on my former phone and gave it to her.

Our phones worked great until my wife asked me to take my Apple ID off her "new iPhone (my old iPhone, and put her info ID on my old phone (her new phone.)

When I tried to change it to her Apple ID, everything went whacky, scrambling all other additional devices. Everything was mixed up. Essentially both my wife's ID and mine ended up being swapped.

The result was her name with my email address. The same for her. This happened all at once on all our devices, including computers. HELP!! I can't switch back to my old email address under my name. Same for her!!

Have you got ideas of how to remedy the situation. Trying to switch through Apple ID @ Apple.com isn't working. I can't switch to my old email address under my name. My OS allowed my old email address as a second additional, but I can't remove my wife's email address. Is it something to do with making my new and old names an administrative authorization?

Now it's my wife's email under my name and vice-versa!
