Hi Loobs,
If both your HomePod and previous Bluetooth speaker were experiencing the same connectivity issue, we can safely assume isolate it to either your iPhone connection or wireless interference with your speakers. Let's focus on wireless interference first.
Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference is an Apple Support article with great suggestions. We're happy to break it down for you.
- Move your HomePod mini to a location where there are no metal, plaster, concrete, bulletproof glass, water, or bricks between it and your iPhone or network equipment (router/modem)
After you're sure there is nothing between your devices that may be interfering with your connection, try these steps:
- Restart your HomePod mini
1. Open the Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac that's signed in with the Apple ID that you used to set up HomePod.
2. Tap or click HomePod.
3. Scroll down, or tap or click the Settings icon
and scroll down.
4. Select Reset HomePod, then select Restart HomePod.
If you don't see an option to restart your HomePod, unplug it from power, then plug it back in and try again.
If HomePod or HomePod mini isn't responding - Apple Support
If your HomePod starts cutting out again after these steps, ask Siri to play your music directly from your HomePod by saying, "Hey Siri, play some music." Does the music cut out this way as well?
Thank you for being part of the Apple Support Communities.
Kindest Regards.
