When I go into my iPhone settings in iOS 16 and go to Safari Clear History and Website Data it always asks if I want to Close Tabs or Keep Tabs. Is there a way to stop this question? It is highly annoying.

Sorry, there is no setting that would automatically delete your open tabs or automatically keep them, but not fully clear the data. It looks like you are stuck with closing the tabs first so alert doesn't come up or answer the alert.

It just wants to know if you want to clear the web site data from your open tabs. If you keep tabs, all the data will be cleared except for your tabs. If you select close tabs, then all data will be deleted. Its just to prevent you from mistakenly clearing data on sites you are currently using.
Thanks for the information. Is there a setting that can be set in iOS or Safari so that these do not appear?
Thank you.
