Removing a song from my playlist but not my music library

When I go to a playlist and click the 3 dots there is an "edit" selection that can be clicked. However when I click the edit feature, NO delete symbol appears next to any song. As a matter of fact, when I click the "edit" feature it changes the look of the playlist slightly but there are NO actions possible. No way to select the song I want to remove from my playlist.
