Deleted items appearing in System Settings...

In System Settings > General > Login Items I'm seeing programs that were deleted under Allow In The Background. Things related to my old WD NAS drive, GoToMeeting, LogMeIn, McAfee, Team Viewer. All programs have been deleted so I don't see them under Applications in Finder. Switched them all off so that they are not running in the background but would like to get rid of them.

Have a macbook pro 15 inch 2018 running Ventura

Thanks

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 13.2

Look inside and view the files in these locations (using TextEdit) to see if you can identify the ones you want gone.

(Go to Finder menu, Go, enter /Library). Don't use your library from your username

You can delete them but keep them in the Trash Can just in case so you can restore them

if it causes more problems. After removing them, reboot the computer and the settings should no longer be listed.

/Library/LaunchDaemons

/Library/LaunchAgents

And/Or....

/Library/StartupItems

~/Library/LaunchAgents

Part 1 of 2

Although the Applications have been deleted, elements of the applications made still be installed on the computer and running.

You may start by and refer to image below.

The little Minus (-) may remove them from Login items.

Though as mentioned, applications of this type are sometimes difficult to get every piece of the applications Off the computer

In which case and refer to Part 2 of 2

Part 2 of 2

Download the Application Etrecheck directly from the Developer.

This is a Diagnostic Tool that makes no changes to the computer.

It makes a coherent and readable inventory of both the Hardware and Software used on the computer

The application is free or paid from added features.
