Odd handling of text by Safari in versions for Monterey and Ventura.

How can this compression and overlapping by Safari be corrected?

Screen shots are off the same geocache listing on Geocache.com, but similar distortions have occurred on other sites as well.

First two images are the Safari view of the page before and after clicking the decrypt button to decode the coded hint. Note particularly the text indicated by the two arrows.

Second pair of images are of the same listing as presented by the Firefox browser. note the difference in width of the text blocks, and lack of text overlap in the hint area.

Greetings Barry,

In order to isolate this issue, to determine the best steps to finding a resolution, start by testing to see if you can duplicate this issue in safe mode.

Safe mode is a way of starting your computer that prevents certain software from opening. How to use safe mode on your Mac

If the issue continues, create a new admin user and test to see if you can duplicate the issue: Change Users & Groups settings on Mac

We hope this helps!

Sincerely.
