Me send my spouse share a reminders shopping list. We are both updated to the latest iOS. When I add a reminder to the shared list, it will show up on my spouses device. When my spouse, however, makes an update it does not come through on my device. It is odd the reminders list is not staying synced between the two device and I could use some help understanding why! I have removed the user and added them back to no avail.

If you're having trouble collaborating on Reminders as expected, you'll first want to ensure you're following these steps to get that set up and invite others to collaborate: Share lists and collaborate in Reminders on iPhone - Apple Support
If so, do you both have access to either Wi-Fi or cellular data when making changes? Do you notice any difference if using Wi-Fi instead of cellular or vice-versa?
Testing that can help narrow down what may be happening.
