It would appear that it is ok. It certainly is a "product" from the Apple Store. It certainly is not in the list of things you cannot buy. Yet next to the PayPall in the ordering system, there is the language "Items in your order are not eligible for this payment method. Please select another form of payment."
Yes, I was using my Apple Account Balance entirely. It looks like Apple's ordering system is not ready for prime time. The message "Items in your order are not eligible for this payment method. Please select another form of payment." is just in the box to the right of all the credit cards/Paypal stuff. Why?
"The entire cost of your order is covered." is to the right of the "Apple Account Balance applied". If only Apple Support knew what was going on. They have had no answers and it is 4 days later.
Does anybody know how to send an email to "Apple Leadership"? No, I do not expect Tim Cook to read my email, but I would think the offices of the "Apple Leadership" might be interested in their Apple Support failures.
PayPal is not Apple Account balance. AAB is what you have on deposit with Apple --> Check your Apple Account balance - Apple Support
