How do I launch an html file via safari?

I have a very simple html file that I copied out of a book. I want to launch it via Safari browser. The file is in a path “iCloud/Pages/Apple/Hello.html”. Please tell me: how do I translate this file path to what Safari understands.

Thank you!

Hey tenasakai,

You can find steps to select which app opens a file here: Choose an app to open a file on Mac - Apple Support

"Open a file once with a specific app

On your Mac, do one of the following:

  • Drag the file onto the app icon in the Finder or the Dock.
  • Select the file in the Finder, choose File > Open With, then choose an app.
  • Control-click the file, choose Open With, then choose an app.
  • Open the app, then choose File > Open.

Permanently change the app used to open a file

  1. On your Mac, click the Finder icon  in the Dock to open a Finder window.
  2. Select the file, then choose File > Get Info.
  3. You can also Control-click the file, then choose Get Info.
  4. In the Info window, click the arrow  next to “Open with.”
  5. Click the pop-up menu, then choose the app.
  6. To open all files of this type with this app, click Change All."

Thanks!
