Path and status bars won't stay enabled in Ventura

I want the path bar and status bar to always be visible in all Finder windows, but they are not. They might be visible for a session, then after reboot, I must enable them again; even then, some Finder windows might have them, and some might not.

Anything I can check in (for example) a plist? Something I can execute in Terminal?

In addition to the good suggestion by dialabrain: sometimes Finder preferences can get corrupted. Deleting them should help, if it is the case, and does not hurt, anyway.

In Finder, press Command-Shift-G and paste

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist

Drag the file out of the folder, and put it in the Desktop, for example.

Force-quit the Finder, or log out and back in.

Set things the way you want them and see if they stick.
