Finder problems after updating to ventura 13.4

Thanks to anyone who can help with this problem.

I began having problems with finder began immediately after installing Ventura 13.4.

I can't access finder settings
the finder window is grayed out meaning I don't have access via the sidebar, so I can't access basic things like the application folder.

Hi there!

See if you can use Finder from safe mode. Safe mode can help you to determine whether an issue is caused by software that loads as your Mac starts up.
