Select a different default maps app

Hi, I am just switching iOS and noticing that addresses in iMessage or Safari always open in Apple Maps. I would like to switch it to default to Transit or CityMapper as those are my preferred maps apps. On Android this was easy to do, I can't seem to figure out how to do it for iPhone or iPad.

Advice on how to find this setting would be great. I found how to switch browser and email, but can't for the life of me find maps (which to me seems like it would logically be in the same place)

That feature is not directly available in iOS. Some apps allow setting a default app for maps however that setting is universal and exist within that particular app. Furthermore, You can suggest this feature directly to Apple by leaving a product feedback here 👉Product Feedback - Apple
