wifi printer connectivity?

Hi all!

I have a MBAir running Ventura 1.2.1 and cannot connect via wifi with my Brother MFC9340CDW.

They're on the same SSID but the MBAir just doesn't see it.

It connected previously and I cannot see it on the Mac. Any ideas? Brother says it's no longer supported but it was working previously and can't recall when it disappeared.....

If it is listed as AirPrint printer, delete the existing printer in

If you can't find an updated driver for your printer give the open-source a try—

“manufactures have drivers on their European websites for later systems versions than they do for the US. You might try perusing the European sites for the printer's manufacture to see if they have a later driver”—according to Old Toad.

free Gutenprint 5.3.3 driver a try.

So it's weird.

I'm using an Xfinity X-1 router with the extender.

The printer sees two versions of the SSID (A-----). When I use the Brother setup wizard the printer logs on and the MBAir sees it and sets it up. But then it becomes offline and is no longer accessible.

The printer config log is attached.

Does this make any sense? I've read about the printer being offline but can't seem to find a way to consistently wake it up.
