Continuity Camera (“Use your iPhone as a webcam on Mac“) requires iOS 16 and Ventura:
… Use your iPhone as a webcam on Mac - Apple Support
In theory, it should as Apple included a feature called "Live Text" in macOS Monterey, which allows you to use your iPhone as a webcam to capture and stream video directly to your Mac. However, I do not have a Mac, running macOS Monterey, to verify it actually does work.
Give the following a try:
Now, whether or not, the apps that you listed in your post will recognize your iPhone as a webcam, again, I have no way of verifying it for you.
What exactly do you mean by "work with?" Zoom provides apps for both platforms.
I have the Mac desktop 'trash can' which is the late 2013 model. It has the latest macOS Monterey but is too old for Ventura. I have an iPhone 12 that is updated. I want to use my iPhone as a webcam. Continuity is on. Bluetooth and WiFi are on both and logged into the same apple ID on both. FaceTime, Zoom, Photo Booth, and the Mac system in general does not see a video camera installed. Apple support keeps directing me to pages that say macOS Ventura on top. Does the iPhone work as a webcam with macOS Monterey or am I wasting my time trying to get it to connect?
You have been helpful. I installed Zoom, desktop app, after your first interaction and tried their interface. I tried the QuickTime suggestion but no camera is recognized. Nothing recognizes the iPhone as a camera. I will try resetting both the computer and the iPhone, Cold boots on both and then just use the iPad for the upcoming meeting. Again, many thanks.
Keep us posted on your results. Also, maybe someone else here, that is running Monterey, will chime in with a solution.
