Apple Watch stops my podcast every km during workout

Very frustrating that I have to keep swapping from workout app to currently playing, and restart podcast, every km during a run. It seems to be the audio workout announcements that do this. I’ve seen a workaround posted elsewhere that turns off workout announcements but I like those announcements! I just want the podcast to automatically restart after the announcement is complete. How do I do this?

Hello Dndj283,

So it sounds like you have the Voice Feedback option turned on for the Workouts app which is causing other audio to stop so it can work.

If you want to listen to audio like music or a podcast while using the workout app, you'll need to turn off the Voice Feedback setting. You can find this in the Watch app on your paired iPhone under the My Watch tab > Workout > Voice Feedback.
