The steps in If emails appear to be missing in Mail on Mac can often help with finding emails that may be missing on your Mac.

• "If you use more than one email account in Mail, make sure you’re looking at messages for the correct account.
• If you sorted messages, they may be in the list but not in the order you expect.
• If the missing emails are from a specific person or group, check whether you blocked messages from them.
• If you use rules, they may have moved messages to other mailboxes. Try searching for the messages.
• Check the account’s Recovered Messages mailbox, if available in the Mail sidebar.
• Quit Mail, then reopen it."

If you're still unable to find those lost emails, we recommend checking your email via webmail to see if the missing emails appear on your email service provider's service. How to do this will depend on who your email service provider is. If this is an iCloud email, you can use the steps in Read email in Mail on iCloud.com to check your email on the iCloud website.
