Hi,

iMovie 10 for Mac does not have soundtracks per se, unlike the iMovie on your iPhone or iPad. In the Audio Pane of your iMovie project there is a Sound Effects item that you can click on that will reveal sound effects and Jingles that you can use in iMovie. The jingles are songs and music.

Also, you can avail yourself of the sound track songs on your iPhone or iPad. Put the songs into an iOS movie project and then Air Drop the Project (the Project export option, not the Video option). The project, containing the song, will appear in the Downloads folder of your Mac. Double click on it and it will open as an iMovie for Mac project. The song will then be available for use in your iMovie for Mac projects.

Or, on you iPhone you can export the iOS project as a video to your Mac. Then drag the video into an iMovie for Mac project. Detach the audio. Select the audio clip and do File/Reveal in Finder. From the Original Media folder that appears, you can copy out (copy, not move) the song to your desktop and from there drag it into an iMovie for Mac project.
