iTunes says song is not authorized. Purchased under a now defunct Apple ID/email

iTunes says my song is not authorized. It told me to change my password, which I did. Then it gave me the same message again. I reauthorized the computer, which didn't help. I no longer have the Apple ID it was purchased under. So, that may be the problem. How can I resolve this? I have several Protected AAC files and I need to know how to access them.
